Veterans of Foreign Wars Cmdr. Al Brenke Post 9284 will sponsor the annual Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen Scholarship programs for the 2025-26 school year. Four $1000 scholarships are available for students in our service area. Winners of local scholarships have the opportunity to advance for additional Illinois State and National scholarship awards.

The National VFW award is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in future generations. The National VFW office provides high school students and a middle school students with additional scholarship opportunities.
