On Flag Day, VFW Post 9284 Service Officer Art Ellingsen had the honor of visiting a Youth Camp in Des Plaines, Illinois, to teach young children about the history, meaning, and proper respect for the American Flag.

Art explained how the Flag should be properly displayed, handled, and honored as a symbol of our nation, our freedoms, and the sacrifices made by generations of Americans who have served.

It was a wonderful educational opportunity for these young students to learn the importance of patriotism, respect, and the values represented by the Stars and Stripes.
