Congratulations to VFW Post 9284 for earning 1st Place at the 2026 State Convention for its outstanding Buddy Poppy Display!

This award recognizes the dedication, creativity, and commitment of our members in honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans through the VFW Buddy Poppy program. The winning display was created through the hard work and leadership of Tony Chakeen, Poppy Chairman, whose efforts helped bring this honor to our Post and District.

The award-winning display will now represent District 4 and VFW Post 9284 at the VFW National Convention in Reno, Nevada, where it will be entered for judging at the National Level.

We proudly congratulate Tony Chakeen and thank him for his dedication, countless hours of work, and commitment to keeping the memory of our fallen veterans alive.
