On October 27, 2024, at the age of 79, Pete Hicks of Elk Grove Village, Illinois passed away.
Pete was a member of VFW Post 9284 and founder along with Trustee Chris Prochno of the Village's Memorial Observance Ceremony. The Memorial Day Observance has become a highly attended Village event that honors our fallen veterans.
